Reindeer Theatre Company, in collaboration with the St. Pius X Church community, is once again presenting the hilarious holiday comedy THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER for two weekends in December.

Written by Barbara Robinson and directed by Louis Philippe, THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER is a wonderful family comedy about a church group trying to stage its annual Pageant despite the challenges of losing its stalwart director and having to cast the Herdman kids who bring a baggage load of mayhem.

And what a better venue but inside a church…in this case, St. Pius X Catholic Church located at 492 Ocean Ave., Portland.

“We had tremendous success with this play last year,” said Director Philippe, “it’s no surprise that this year’s response has been even better.  It’s just one of those terrific holiday stories that you want to see again and again.”

This year’s large cast includes talented kids and adults from Cumberland, Gorham, Portland, Scarborough, South Portland, Westbrook and Windham:

The Bradleys: Theresa Cornell as Mother, Kurt Stokes as Father, Andrea Kostovick as Beth, Trevor York as Charlie
The Herdmans: Ian Hawkes as Ralph, Julia Cornell as Imogene, Colin Grove as Leroy, Ben Myshrall as Claude, Rebecca Myshrall as Ollie, Katie Zema as Gladys
