Reindeer Theatre Company of Westbrook has announced that Barbara Buck of Falmouth, a well-reputed director in local theater circles, will be directing its upcoming production of CEMETERY CLUB.

Barbara began her extensive theatrical career in the 60’s in California and then in Virginia, acting in a myriad of roles and developing her technical and directorial skills. She brings to the Reindeer stage a background that includes Lighting Design, Production Stage Management, Choreography and Sound Design.

Barbara is well known to actors and audiences of many local theater groups, including Portland Players, Freeport Community Players, Crooker Theater in Brunswick, Lyric Theater, Biddeford City Theater, Mad Horse Theatre, Schoolhouse Arts Center, 2 Do Productions, Horizon Players, Cape Players, Eastern Slope Playhouse and Occasional Opera Company. She has also taught acting, scene study and stage presence for private students for over 20 years.

Her directing credits include: The Perfect Party, You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, Steel Magnolias, Godspell, Grease, Crimes Of The Heart, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Cabaret, Deathtrap, Baby, 6 Rms Riv Vu, Roar Of The Greasepaint/Smell Of The Crowd, My Sister Eileen, Luv, Mary Of Scotland, Penny Wise, Marat/Sade, The Collector, Time Remembered, Sunday Costs Five Pesos, The Red Shoes, Murder In The Cathedral, Dog Lady and The Cuban Swimmer and My Fair Lady.

Cemetery Club is an endearing light comedy focusing on the lives of three elderly Jewish widows. Auditions are Monday, September 12 and Wednesday, September 14, 6:30 PM, at Warren Memorial Library, 479 Main St., Westbrook, where the show will also be performed. For more info, call 857-9002.
